        Diggy Dutch was born in Houston Texas and showed a strong love for music at a early age. Diggy was only 12 years old when he started digging thru his fathers record collection and asking deeper questions about what kind of music it was and where does it come from. 

As Diggy grew into his teen years he had developed a huge music collection, but It wasn’t until Diggy turned 21 that he decided to try his had in the art of Turntablism. Some of Diggys’ biggest musical influences are Prince, Biggie, Buddy Guy, Carlos Santana, Curtis Mayfield, and The Smiths, and Selena. He has always had a eclectic taste for music and a curiosity for strange and different sounds. As Diggy started his journey in to the world of deejaying he looked up to some of the greats for inspiration, some of those great were Dj Jazzy Jeff, Dj A Trak, and the late Dj AM. Their influence would be the driving force behind Diggys’ focus on technically scratching, being as creative as possible with his selection, and how he presents this to his crowd. 

It’s when Diggy saw Red Bull 3style with is own eyes in San Antonio for the first time did he finally know what he wanted to achieve, the world title. Over the next 7 years Diggy would go on to build his technical skills, selection, and his ability to play any style of event or venue, and do it with style and grace. 

Diggy is now one of the Co-Founders of the nonprofit Tejas Parti Ent. that thru the art of djing they help bring supplies, food, clothing to families in need in Austin Texas. Diggy is also the cofounder of the Sessions Mix Show, a show dedicated to showing the beautiful art of djing to the world. Diggy also works for the Kid Kraddick in the Morning Show in Dallas TX, is a member of the Texas Scratch League, has competed and placed in the 2015 3Style in New Orleans, has over 10 residencies in his home of Austin Texas. He has also taught and help run the top dj music institute in Austin Texas, as well as performed at SXSW for the last 7 years. 

Diggys’ playing style is a reflection of where he comes from and his undeniable love for music. He is not scared to take risk or play music that no one els has, because he knows it is what the people need to hear. Diggys’ purpose for djing as been the same since his beginnings in 2008, he wants to uplift people with music because he knows, In the words of the legendary O’ Jays, “Music is the healing force of the world”.
